Longzhu Gaming announced via their official Facebook page that they have ended contracts with all of its League of Legends players except for Dongwoo “Crash” Lee and Woochan “Cuzz” Moon. The organization also parted ways with coaches Jangsik “Lustboy” Ham and Seungmin “supreme” Choi. Longzhu's decision is in line with the series of mass contract terminations from other Korean teams.
The post thanked all those leaving for their wonderful work in 2016 and wished them the best.
Using a bold recruitment strategy, Longzhu was able to cement itself among the top LCK teams in the early days of the team’s establishment. However, previous individual excellence grew to matter less and less as team synergy was stagnant. Towards the end of the Summer season, their only saving grace was the formidable momentum gained by star rookie Crash.
While most of the players have left, the untapped potentials of Crash and Cuzz stay on the team. Whether or not Longzhu can find other pieces to complete the puzzle remains to be seen.
