In an interview with Inven KR reporter Beom "Nswer" Park, an inner staff member at KT Rolster who wished to remain unnamed shared several insights about the new KT's formation.

Regarding the departure of Arrow, Fly, Hachani, and ssumday, it was said the organization was truly grateful for the four players' "having done all they could". This suggests KT was convinced that the team's 2016 run was the best their roster could realistically achieve.

The source went on to mention that PawN and Smeb declined higher offers from overseas in order to join KT, as both players were determined to win both LCK and Worlds 2017. It was also confirmed that retaining Score was a crucial factor in convincing the two to join.

While no concrete information was released regarding the team's yet-to-be-revealed bottom lane, it was affirmed that the remaining two players would be heavyweights whose names would not pale next to the three on board. Nswer's separate independent sources have confirmed KT's final piece may be any combination from the following pool of four: Deft, Mata, PraY, and GorillA.
