Spring Blossom Fest, the first seasonal event in Monster Hunter: World will begin on April 6th and run till the 19th (UTC). You will be able to accept a variety of event quests including limited-time events and Deviljho hunting quests; you will also be able to enjoy different fest-related content in-game.
Not only that, you will be able to accept the event quest, Every Hunter’s Dream, from which you can craft Wyvern Ignition “Steel”, a Greatsword that won in the weapon design contest.
First, 2 Lucky Vouchers will be given each day as login bonus during the event period. You will also be given Spring Blossom Ticket, which you can use to craft special event items, and 3 Blossom Fireworks as the Special Daily Bonuses.
The Gathering Hub in Astera, 4th floor, will be covered spring-themed decorations and NPCs will appear in the fest-themed attire. The Canteen service will be available at the Gathering Hub for players to feast, and you will be able to order the Spring Blossom Platter, which is sold only during the event period.
Also, the weekly quests have been changed to daily quests during the event, from which you will be able to get the Spring blossom Ticket and Blossom Fireworks as rewards. You can craft the Blossom set, and the Butterfly set - a Palico armor set - using the Spring Blossom Tickets.
You will be able to accept most of the past limited-time event quests during the event period, so you’ll be able to accept the quests that give materials you can use to craft armor as rewards. You will also be able to enjoy the Deviljho hunting quest with the Temper-level difficulty, ‘Relish the Moment’, again.
Among the event quests are the newly added Every Hunter’s Dream quest, from which you can craft Wyvern Ignition “Steel”, a new Greatsword. This quest is about hunting Paolumu and Rathalos, with a ★5 difficulty. Both are not too difficult to hunt as they are monsters with low ranks, but if you ever find it hard, use the lever within the Arena to separate the two monsters and hunt them one by one.
You can obtain a Master Craftman’s Blueprint from this quest, which you can use to craft Wyvern Ignition “Steel” with other materials. This new Greatsword was developed in-game based on the winning entry in the weapon design contest, 'Impact 702', and the way the booster on the sword ignites after charging to 3 level is quite impressive. Master Craftman’s Blueprint is randomly looted in stacks of 1~2, and a total of 5 blueprints are needed for the final upgrade.
