As we approach the final day of the Gold Club World Championship group stage, the playoff brackets look to be more or less already decided. MVP Black stands victorious at the top of the standings with a 9W-1L record and a guaranteed spot in the winners bracket; just below them are Ballistix, ZeroPanda, and MVP Miracle, effectively in a three-way tie for second.

Any one of the three still can fall to the losers bracket depending on how things shake out on the final day, although it’s unlikely considering the level of play they have shown. Nonetheless, there have been a number of upsets in the tournament so far. One lapse in concentration could lead to severe consequences.

Team Dignitas and eStar Gaming currently look destined for the losers bracket, but their fates are not set in stone quite yet - a stellar run today might change everything. For Dignitas, the doorway will be through defeating Miracle, while eStar will need two upsets against both Miracle and Ballistix.

There are two teams which will not escape the losers bracket even if they manage to win every game on the final day: North America's Astral Authority and China's Super Perfect Team. Their fates are sealed, so expect to see some unshackled creative play coming from those with nothing to lose.
