British YouTube stars “Twiinsane” have scored a place in the new Guinness World Records 2017 Gamer’s Edition after attempting a record at the GWR headquarters in London.
Twins Liam and Jake Thomson set a new record for the Fastest completion of Star Wars Battlefront survival mode without blasters (team of two) in an impressive 10 min 24 sec. They chose the Rebel Depot map for the challenge and were prohibited from using their primary blasters, instead relying on power-up cards.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Christopher Lynch was on hand to present the twins with an official certificate recognising the pair's second world record achievement.
Liam commented “It was a team effort, we did well and I’m pleased with what we’ve done.”.
Previously, the gaming duo had won a record for the Fastest time to capture the flag in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (shared controller, team of two). Playing on the Biolab map of the 2014 FPS, Twiinsame took 26.31 sec to capture the flag while battling enemy bots.
Stephen Daultrey Editor of the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition said ‘Congratulations to Twiinsane on landing yet another Guinness World Record for gaming. When it comes to co-op games, they clearly possess a near-telekinetic understanding.’
