On the opening day of LCK, the second match following KSV vs Kingzone was MVP vs Kongdoo Monsters. MVP struggled to comeback from behind, but Kongdoo secured their edge in the early game and was victorious with the set score of 2:0.

After the match, two of the best players, Raise and Edge, were interviewed.

Q. When Raise first came to the team, many fans said that Kongdoo picked you because of your good looks. What do you think?

Raise: I think it’s good that I delivered good performance. I wish that the fans wouldn’t say that anymore.

Q. Your performance is somewhat different from last year. What do you think made that difference?

Edge: Last year, I was greedy, and stood at the front often only to be picked off. This year, I practiced avoiding deaths and put a lot of effort on getting into good positions. I think this is the main reason, not dying.

Q. You were well prepared in your teamwork. Did you prepare fully in specific situations?

R: We played as we prepared. We practiced a lot focusing on mid lane and jungle. I think our preparation was effective.

Q. Your Zoe was great, making the possibility of having Zoe getting banned on future games. How do you think Zoe is?

E: I think Zoe is a good champion. I think she’s a 1 tier champ and that she will continue to be picked in the pro scene.

Q. So did you really believe in Zoe and just swept in with Jarvan?

R: I did, I just said “Hit him” and went in.

Q. Speaking of Jarvan, your Jarvan was different from Ambition’s. What was the difference with your Jarvan?

R: First of all, the early game went well. I liked giving pressure on the lanes with DPS, so I prefer DPS over tank, since we already had a tank at top lane.

Q. When Illaoi was picked, what did you think?

E: Roach was good against Illaoi when we were practicing, so we were happy when they picked him.

Q. At the last fan meeting, Edge danced well. Are you also a dancer?

R: I’ve only played games up to now, but if I get the chance, I’ll practice dancing and show it off. I’ll make sure that I have enough practice on games so that people won’t say I lack gaming practice because of dancing.

Q. Some fans are now saying it’s the 4K generation in the LCK. KSV, Kingzone, kt and Kongdoo. What’s your opinions?

E: It would be an honor.

R: It should be 5K, with SKT T1.

Q. What’s the biggest difference from last year?

E: We tried to strengthen our weaknesses during the off season, and I think that was effective.

Q. Now lastly, to the fans?

R: We’ll do our best to keep up with your expectations, and become one of the favorites.

E: We had a lot of losses last year, but this year, we’ll try hard to become a team with more wins. Thank you.
