On the 8th of January (KST), Chinese eSports company Kingzone announced that they took over Longzhu Gaming, the winner of the 2017 LCK Summer split.

Longzhu Gaming has now changed the team name to Kingzone DragonX along with a new team emblem.

Kang Dong-hoon, head coach of Longzhu, said “The process of the buyout wasn’t easy, but I want to thank Kingzone for their decision. Furthermore, I want to thank them for investing in the team so that we can develop. We will do our best to become a better team.”

Kingzone will fully utilize the Korean esports infrastructure and will be marketing actively, nationally and internationally. They are also planning on helping the players to perform with steady investment.
