'2018 League of Legends Champions Korea' to Begin on the 16th of January

The long-awaited '2018 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split' will begin on the 16th of this month. We will once again be able to witness dramatic fights between the world's strongest teams and players.

No large changes were made to the format of the league. Carrying on from last year, a set of two series per day will take place 5 times a week. On Tuesdays and Sundays, SPOTV GAMES will host the games, and on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, OGN will. The time of the broadcast will also remain the same, with the first series set to start at 12 AM(PST) and the second series at 3 AM.

The method of broadcast in Korea, however, did see some change. Instead of having both OGN and SPOTV broadcast the games regardless of who is hosting like they have done in the past, ONLY the hosting party that is designated to the day the games will take place will be able to broadcast.

In regards to some of the teams, the former SSG players will play in the upcoming split under the KSV brand. Also, bbq Olivers has employed two of the strongest players from EU, Trick and IgNar. Since the roster of the top LCK teams from last year has remained relatively the same, we may get to witness the continuation of the rivalry between them. There is a lot of anticipation surrounding the upcoming LCK season.
