Through their official SNS, AFs made an announcement that aside from Marin, every player from Afreeca Freecs have renewed their contracts and have decided to stay with the organization.

During the beginning of 2017, AFs was successful in acquiring experienced players such as Marin, Spirit, and KurO. And during every split, the team hasn't failed once in making it into the LCK playoffs, though they failed to qualify for the World Championship. As a result of the team's progress, it's most likely that a large change won't be made to the team.

On the other hand, Marin is now free to speak with whichever team that he desires - and as a result of this, AFs will need to branch out and recruit a new toplaner for the team. The team has also released information that they are recruiting new members for the coaching staff.

Afreeca Freecs re-sign with Choi Yeong-sung and , Lee da yoon(Spirit), Lee Jae-ha(Mowgli), Lee Seo-haeng(Kuro), Ha-jong hoon(Kramer), and Park Jong-ik(TusiN).

And, as from Nov 20, we have expired our contract with Jang Kyung-hwan (MaRin) and Cho Kye-hyun Coach.
