Countless World of Warcraft players all over the world will have tried their hand at Azeroth cuisine in real life. After all, who wants to set out for a journey without a hearty hourlong buff for strength and warmth? While some home recipes were found out to be inedible, others surprisingly turned out to be delicious. Yet the highly hit-and-miss nature of such an undertaking turned many away.

Thanks to World of Warcraft: The Official Cookbook, however, now we all can make Blizzard-certified foods and beverages. A group of longtime WoW advocates at Inven just could not pass this up. Four dishes and two beverages were selected for review.

Do death-defying Forsaken undeads still feel hunger? I guess Blizzard thinks so. This crispy snack, obtainable through quests in Tirisfal Glades, seems edible only for the undead, as they look more like the wings of a Gargoyle than those of a bat. 

Lore says that the recipe for this soup was developed by witch doctors as a cure for temper issues. Warriors are full of rage as they dive into the battle, and this makes Dragonbreath Chili just the right dish for those fighting for the Horde. A bowl of Orcish soul food can transform a noob into a warrior breathing out fiery battlecries.

One of the most frequent encounters in Dun Morough is with Ironforge Guard. Ironforge Rations are made for those who need a quick meal while on duty. I would rather choose to eat haggis and beer separately and say, "I can do this job every single day!"

All Alliance players who grew up near Stormwind will find this stew familiar. This special recipe that comes after a strenuous quest actually turns out to be quite repulsive, as it is made with Murloc eyeballs and buzzard meat. This stew makes an already bitter Westfall even more depressing.

Once ruled by Tirion Fordring, Hearthglen is a beautiful city. It was able to defend itself from the Scourge and remain as one of few safe places in the Western Plaguelands. Hearthglen Ambrosia surely played a role there, as it gave courage for people to fight.

You can see this drink in all inns of Azeroth. A beverage loved by all warriors, Cherry Grog surely made a notable contribution to the world's peace... Or filling the chat with "hic!"

Crispy Bat Wing: This is chicken wing. Chicken wings are never wrong. I like chicken wings. This one is especially good. "Lok'tar ogar!" after the first bite. (4.99/5)
Dragonbreath Chili: The best dish. Makes me spew out war cries. I like the spicy taste. It would be better with a bowl of rice or Naan. (5/5)
Ironforge Rations: Tastes like something you would eat at a diner. The gravy goes well with bread. I wanted another bite, but I let KaEnn have it for the lulz. (4/5)
Westfall Stew: Smells nice and reminds me of Korean food. I want rice with Kimchi now. (5/5)

Lasso: A sad mummy Rogue. His skills with dual daggers molded him into Inven's master chef.

Crispy Bat Wing: Kyochon Chicken already had a Tirisfal branch? Tangy, spicy, salty, crispy. It is a letdown that we did not get to use actual bat wings. (3.5/5)
Dragonbreath Chili: Wouldn't have been spicy enough if we strictly followed the recipe. This would go well with a bowl of rice. I think this could be two times as spicy and still work. (4.5/5)
Ironforge Rations: Was Ironforge inspired by northern Europe? Simple taste, but I like it. This goes so well with beer. It would have been a huge tease for the guards (3.5/5)
Westfall Stew: We couldn't get Murloc eyes and buzzard meat, but this typical Western stew is rich in flavor. You should definitely try this if you feel nostalgic about Westfall. (4/5)
Cherry Grog: Tastes like a blend of Long Island Iced Tea and ginger tea. I can enjoy this once in a while. (4/5)

Abell: A master of Korean cuisine and junk food.

Crispy Bat Wing: It tastes like Kyochon chicken with some vinegar added to it. I want to hunt some bats and try cooking this with actual bat wings. (3.5/5)

Ironforge Rations: More like a side dish than a ration, but tastes good enough. (3.5/5)

Sawual: Inven's official butcher who always plays tank.

Crispy Bat Wing: Being a Buffalo wing maniac myself, I could not say no to this one. A good amount of sourness is certainly a plus, but the wing is too overcooked that it was hard for me to finish it in a single bite. (4/5)
Dragonbreath Chili: I tossed in more chili peppers because I thought the amount written on the recipe wouldn't be enough, and I guess I was right. Fantastic. (5/5)
Ironforge Rations: I became a dwarf warrior sitting on top of Ironforge Mountain. I was watching the sunset as I washed down my ration with beer. (4/5)
Westfall Stew: Exotic spices made it hard for me to swallow at first, but as a Korean, I can always enjoy some warm stew. (3.5/5)
