TheShy, the top laner for Invictus Gaming in the LPL, has been getting flamed for his continual rage quitting in solo ranked games on KR server.
The incident began with SKT T1 Faker’s personal stream on September 23rd. TheShy, playing Kog’Maw on his smurf, was teamed up with Faker, but rage quit after his team was clearly at a disadvantage. However, he came back on his main account and they were queued against each other in the next game, which Faker was not too pleased about.
TheShy continued his rage quitting 2 days later. He was in the midst of playing on the same team as Peanut when he announced that he would be leaving the game, and rage quit. This furthered controversy after it was streamed on Twitch.
Many League fans agree that Riot Korea needs to strengthen their punishment more, or that teams need to take care of their players if they’re involved in trolling or intentional disconnects similar to this incident. They were disappointed that, despite the fact he has apologized for elo boosting and rude behavior in the past, TheShy continues to display bad manners; these same fans assert that “Even if pros act inappropriately in games or on streams, it seems that their rude manners are forgotten if they play well in tournaments.”
