On August 23rd, the new assassin hero Kel’Thuzad was revealed along with new game content for Heroes of the Storm at Gamescom 2017, opening in Köln, Germany. The new update will include an ‘Obey the Call’ event as well as new skins for old Heroes with Kel’Thuzad joining the Heroes of the Storm.

Details on Kel’Thuzad and how to play him can be seen in the video on the Heroes of the Storm official YouTube channel. Kel’Thuzad will be a mage type assassin with powerful skill damage and the ability to overwhelm a target in an instant by using various CC skill combos. However, the complexity is fairly high since all his skills are non-targeted skills, and he is fairly weak against Heroes that can instantly close distances like Illidan and Genji.

Along with Kel’Thuzad, new Warcraft-esque skins for Jeina, Zagara, and Sonya were revealed along with the event, ‘Obey the Call’; from september 5th to the 25th, players can gain portraits, sprays, and banners themed after the Undead from Warcraft 3. Other than that, players can also watch the trailer for the behind-the-scenes video on the creation of Kel’thuzad.

Meanwhile, the new Hero Kel’Thuzad will be available for players in the PTR during the last week of August. Players can take a peek at the new Hero and new skins, and test out the reworks on Leoric, LT. Morales, Jeina, and Chrome.
