Wemade Max announced on October 19 that it will host the Flyff Universe World Championship (FWC) 2026 Grand Finals for Flyff Universe in Manila, Philippines on October 24. The total prize pool is $110,000 (approx. 150 million won).
The final stage will feature eight teams that advanced through global qualifiers, including last year's champion, Astral. Players hail from seven countries, including the Philippines, the United States, France, and Chile, with the winner to be decided in a double-elimination format. This year, an Opponent Selection system will be introduced for the first time, allowing the top seed from each timezone qualifier to choose their first-round opponent.
Flyff Universe is a global HTML5 MMORPG developed by Gala Lab and published by Wemade Connect. In FWC, the game's esports tournament, participants raise characters under equal conditions on dedicated servers before competing in PvP and PvE formats over a set period. Marking its fourth edition this year, the tournament features the largest prize pool in its history.
Online viewers can watch the live broadcast of the Grand Finals on the official YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch channels on October 24. Beyond the matches, the broadcast will feature key segments including special performances and the awards ceremony.
On-site activities will include performances and fan-participation events. Philippine girl group KAIA will deliver a special performance, while cosplayers and global gaming creators will take part in stage events. Interactive programs will feature a player photo zone, four-cut photo booths, and a KAIA fan signing session.
Attendees visiting the venue will receive official Flyff Universe merchandise and in-game rewards. A raffle will also be held with prizes such as scooters, custom PCs, and laptops.
Lee Ho-dae, CEO of Wemade Connect, said, "FWC goes beyond a simple esports tournament; it is a festival connecting players worldwide as one community," adding, "We expect this to be a special experience that both fans visiting the venue and online viewers can enjoy together."
