The Gyeonggi Content Agency (GCA) facilitated a total of 9.5 billion won in private investments for nine content companies in the province during the first half of 2026. GCA also signed agreements to provide 10 million won in commercialization funding to each of the investment-recipient companies.

GCA, together with Gyeonggi Province, operates a public-private partnership framework centered around Gyeonggi Level-Up Invest Partners (G-VIP)—an alliance of specialized investment firms in the content sector—to discover, nurture, and invest in promising companies. It invites G-VIP partner companies to investment business-matching events, and provides supported companies with investment and overseas expansion consulting, as well as Proof of Concept (PoC) advisory linked with mid-sized and large enterprises. It is also pursuing direct investment cooperation using funds and linked financial resources.
The first-half investments were conducted for companies recommended by G-VIP partners. GCA plans to vitalize private-sector company discovery and club deal collaboration through joint investments by multiple partner firms.
International cooperation for G-VIP was also expanded. From September 16 to 18, GCA held the 2026 Gyeonggi Level-Up Global Roadshow in Tokyo, Japan, operating investment business meetings for supported companies seeking to enter the Japanese market. Fourteen content companies from the province participated in the local demo day and investment consultation sessions.
The roadshow was conducted in collaboration with CNT Tech, Yoonmin Creative Investment Foundation, and the Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation. At the event, GCA signed new G-VIP business agreements with three Japanese investment firms: Seven Star Partners, Ignition Point Partners, and Artiz. As a result, the cumulative number of G-VIP partner companies increased to 112.
GCA aims to deliver international expansion results alongside global partners by broadening opportunities for local market validation, localization PoC, exports, and investment connections. On August 20, GCA completed its registration as a startup accelerator with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups, and plans to leverage this to strengthen its full-lifecycle growth support system for content startups in the province.
