On July 12th (KST), OGN released the third part of RONALDO X FAKER 'THE PHENOM' where Faker talks about how he thought over the mindset that he should have as a professional League player.
Before starting his career as a pro player, Faker changed his mind about what it means to be a professional player. "When I first became a pro, I thought, 'My job is to play the game well; all I needed to do is just win'" However, after seeing the fans cheering for him, he thought that he needed to keep the fans to his side, which meant that he needed to put more effort on playing than on his perfsonal life in order to win.
Faker's ex-teammate, Sungwoong "Bengi" Bae shared a similar sentiment. "I thought I just needed to play games in the stadium, being at the center of attention became a burden later on."
The documentary also touched on the inevitable subject: Retirement. Ronaldo likened his retirement from football as "The sorrow of parting with a loved one." However, his new beginning in esports made Faker to also think about his life after retirement, which could be going back to school (and be a scientist as he revealed in an interview with Inven) or be a coach to stay within esports.
The documentary ended as the two legends meet each other in the 2017 MSI Award Ceremony. Faker already knew about Ronaldo through 2002 FIFA World Cup, and told OGN how "It was one of the most glorious moments of my life."
