If you missed it, earlier today Blizzard unveiled their latest teaser on their social media platforms. While only Blizzard knows the secret, Heroes fans have been quick to guess Alexei Stukov as the most likely candidate. Fortunately for the Starcraft junkies (and unfortunate for Kel'thuzad hopefuls), all signs point towards Stukov being the hero in question.

The experiment's unique condition continues to display extensive regenerative properties causing wounds and even limbs to recover quickly. An unforeseen side effect of the infestation is a unique pathogen that spreads quickly. [MISSING] Contamination of any--

"Extensive regenerative properties" likely hints at gameplay features when Stukov transitions into the Nexus. In Starcraft 2, Stukov was known for deploying infested Terrans and overwhelming enemies with huge swarms of his unique zerg brood. With regard to his regenerative properties, he had an Infest Structure ability that would regenerate the health of friendly structures. 

The "unique pathogen" also hints at Stukov, as his mutation is truly one-of-a-kind. According to Abathur, the Zerg evolution master, Stukov's infestation was so nuanced that it was impossible for the swarm to recreate:

"Modifications of Stukov second only to modifications of Primal Queen of Blades. However, Stukov product of specific design. Interweaving of Terran and Zerg matter, subtle. Spun on micro scale not possible for Swarm." - Abathur

The "product of a specific design" Abathur is referring to is likely the experiments the spoiler hints at. With this in mind, the most important bits of lore comes from the words "Moebius Foundation" and "experiment". If you aren't totally caught up on your Starcraft 2 lore, I'll let Stukov himself get you up to speed:

"Let's recap—I was betrayed and killed, shot into space, captured by the zerg, resurrected and infested, cured, given to Moebius to research the Protoss cure, and was instead experimented on as the cure slowly failed. Everyone up to speed? Good."  - Alexi Stukov

When clicked repeatedly in Starcraft 2, Stukov eventually lets out this comical re-cap of his betrayal and subsequent experimentations. Consider the spoiler is about a Moebius Foundation experiment that is running out of control, the lore seems to support Alexei Stukov as the newest hero to enter the game.
