Titan’s Sight and the Altar are objectives in Titan Ruins, one of the PvP modes in MXM. Titan’s Sight grants vision around it for some amount of time when captured. It is important to capture it whenever you have an opportunity as it allows you to detect the enemy’s location and either hunt neutral monsters or attack Guardian Towers securely.
The Altars located at 5 o’clock and 11 o’clock on the map are devices that can summon Adaman and Ruark. Battles occur frequently at these locations due to the importance of these objectives. Adaman and Ruark are monsters that march forward along the lanes, aiding in lane management and also providing buffs to nearby ally Masters. Also, there is a Portal that is used to enter Kahzor’s location.
There is one Titan’s Sight in the bottom, two in the middle, and one in the top lane. It is a capturable objective, and the team that manages to capture it is granted vision around it that can detect even invisible units for 5 minutes. The capture of a Titan’s Sight is done by pressing F and takes 5 seconds to complete. 3 points are given if one is captured.
Vision is crucial in the Titan Ruins. If the enemy Master’s location is detected within the area of the ally Titan’s Sight, the team can use this and decide their next movement. The Titan’s Sights located in the bottom and top lanes are close to the Altars as well, meaning they can be used to monitor the Altars and keep the enemy team from taking them.
The Titan’s Sights located in the middle lane can also prevent the enemy team from entering the jungle. The device not only grants vision of the lane, but also grants vision of a partial area of the jungle. An enemy team would find it difficult to enter the jungle when that Titan’s Sight is captured by the ally team, as they can become easy targets.
Regardless of the location of your base, the closest Titan’s Sight is located in the middle lane, with the one in the bottom lane second closest. The one in the top lane is the furthest. The one in the middle lane is the nearest and provides partial vision of the jungle, thus teams collide frequently around here in the early game. Players also need to watch out for the one in the bottom lane, and it is wise to separate the team members and attempt to capture both.
Teleport is often used for securing vision. A Master can Teleport to the Guardian Tower close to the Titan’s Sight, capture it, and prevent the enemy team from capturing the device.
There are two Altars, one at 5 o’clock and the other 11 o’clock on the map, that can summon Adaman and Ruark, the hero monsters in Titan Ruins. Altars are activated 2 minutes into the game, and two Altar Watchers spawn at each Altar. They give 2 points when slain.
After all Altar Watchers are slain at an Altar, Adaman and Ruark can be summoned after activating that Altar; this takes 10 seconds and is done by pressing F. They march towards the enemy base along the closest lane automatically. Due to their high HP and AP, they make it easier to manage the lane if the enemy team is not defending that lane.
The benefits Adaman and Ruark offer do not end there. If there are ally Masters around these monsters, they recover the Masters’ HP and also provide a barrier that absorbs some amount of damage. This puts a significant pressure on the enemy and is a great benefit for the ally team during the battle. Even if the enemy defense is in position, it would still be difficult to protect the Guardian Tower with Adaman, Ruark, and the Masters charging forward.
It is therefore recommended that, when the opponent team summons either Adaman or Ruark, the ally team also needs to summon the other neutral monster at the remaining Altar. As mentioned before, the team without any of these neutral monsters must spend a considerable amount of time on defense.
If one team has both Adaman and Ruark, they can create a huge point gap. While the enemy team is occupied with the monsters, the team who captured the Altars can use the opportunity to take Kahzor or King Tanian and gain a huge amount of points.
Titan’s Sight is also crucial in relation to taking the lead with the Altars. The team that captures the Titan’s Sight would find it easier to make good decisions since they have vision of the Altars. Players need to be careful if an enemy Master is detected within the range of Titan’s Sight, as the opponent team is probably attempting to capture an Altar. You can either face the enemy team with your teammates, or focus on securing the Altar on the other side instead.
The Altar is deactivated when Adaman or Ruark is summoned. The summoned monster needs to be killed in order for the Altar to be re-activated and the cooldown is 4 minutes 30 seconds.
