In Week 4 of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Stage 1, top Korean teams are set to intensify their bid for first place in their groups as they head into crucial matchups at the SOOP Coliseum in Sangam, Seoul. The upcoming slate of games, scheduled from April 12 to April 14, will determine which teams secure direct advancement to the upper bracket semifinals of the playoffs.
In the Alpha Group, DRX, boasting an unblemished 3-0 record, will take on fellow undefeated BOOM Esports on Saturday, April 12. DRX, who have convincingly swept Paper Rex, DetonatioN FocusMe, and Global Esports in their first three matches, now face a challenging opponent. BOOM Esports, despite being new to the main circuit after earning runner-up honors at the VCT Pacific Ascension earlier in the year, have matched DRX’s record by defeating Gen.G, Global Esports, and Paper Rex. Both teams are looking to secure the group lead and maintain their spot in contention for a playoff berth.

Meanwhile, in the Omega Group, T1, also sitting at 3-0, is set to compete against Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) on Sunday, April 13. T1’s dominant performance in the early part of the stage, marked by strategic plays from their core lineup, has positioned them as favorites to claim first place. RRQ, coming off a recent bounce-back after a setback against Nongshim RedForce, will be under pressure to provide a stern test for T1. A win for T1 could give them a vital two-match lead in the group standings, bolstering their chance to secure the top spot.

Nongshim RedForce, currently at 1-2 in the Omega Group, face a critical contest against Team Secret on Saturday. With a loss against the winless Team Secret potentially ending their playoff hopes, the pressure is mounting on RedForce to close out their matches in the final week of Stage 1.
