Netmarble has rolled out a significant update for its collectible RPG Tower of God: New World, introducing new characters, a fresh PVP arena, and a series of time-limited events.
The update debuts SSR+ [Luxury] Po Bidau Hugo, a yellow-element assassin who serves as the captain of the Po Bidau Army’s floating ship, the Victor. Hugo is designed to bring a new tactical dimension to battles with her “Luxury Shield” ability, which targets enemies deemed high-value. Also joining the roster is SSR [Unleashed Desire] David, a purple-element support sorcerer and one of White’s clones. David is noted for his robust survivability and his capability to remove debuffs from teammates.
A highlight of the update is the introduction of the Coliseum Arena, a multi-deck player-versus-player system where competitors engage in real-time battles. The arena runs in weekly seasons, with the current season scheduled to conclude on March 19. Top performers are set to receive expirable titles and additional rewards, while adjustments such as banned and buffed teammates add a layer of strategic complexity based on prior season performance.
In addition to new characters and PVP features, several events are now live through March 26. The [Luxury] Po Bidau Hugo Festival features narrative content that details Hugo’s backstory, while release celebration events offer activities like Special Summon, Check-In, and Boost Missions, with rewards including Suspendiums and character upgrades. Meanwhile, the Hugo’s Luxury Festa—running from March 19 to 26—offers extra incentives, such as Gentleman Summon Tickets, for players completing in-game missions.
