Hanwha Life Esports captured the inaugural LCK Cup title Sunday with a 3-2 victory over Gen.G in a best-of-five grand final at LoL Park in Jongno-gu. Hanwha Life Esports advanced through four consecutive best-of-five series—each stretching the distance to a full set—after beginning the tournament in the play-in round. The victory earns the team an LCK berth at the upcoming First Stand Tournament, set to begin March 10 at LoL Park.
Hanwha Life Esports took the first set by leveraging early aggression in the grand final. Despite a misfired turret dive targeting Gen.G’s top laner Kim "Kiin" Ki-in, Park "Viper" Do-hyeon picked up multiple kills on the opposing Kai’Sa to set the pace. Gen.G responded in the second set by methodically pushing down towers and securing key objectives, including a decisive dragon that shifted momentum in their favor.

The third set saw Gen.G introduce a strategic pick in Vayne, prompting Hanwha to refocus their efforts. A well-timed play from Choi "Zeus" Woo-je helped neutralize the threat, allowing his team to claim the set. Gen.G rebounded in the fourth set by switching tactics; mid laner Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon opted for Viego, which led to a rapid series of plays powered by objective buffs that forced the match into a decisive fifth set.
Hanwha opened with a successful turret dive in the final set and maintained a deadlock for 20 minutes. At the 33-minute mark, a pivotal team fight around the dragon area allowed Hanwha to eliminate Gen.G’s Aurelion Sol. Following a secured Baron Nashor buff, Hanwha surged ahead to close out the game. Zeus' performance on Gwen earned him Finals MVP honors along with a bonus of 2 million won.

Hanwha Life Esports, known for their persistent full-set victories, overcame a challenging group stage and several nail-biting series en route to their historic win. Zeka played a key role throughout the tournament, bolstering his reputation from a breakout performance in the 2022 LoL World Championship qualifiers. The team’s triumph in the LCK Cup marks a milestone for the newly established tournament and sets the stage for their international debut at the First Stand Tournament next month.
