Kakao Games has announced a collaboration with Short Story to bring the popular manga and anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End to Guardian Tales, the action-adventure mobile game developed by Kong Studios. The crossover event begins today and runs through February 4, 2025, introducing playable characters from the series and exclusive in-game rewards.

The event sees Frieren, Fern, and Stark transported into the pixelated world of Guardian Tales after falling through a rift in space and time. Players can collect these characters and use their unique weapons to battle enemies and uncover the story of their journey. Stark will be available as a reward during the event, while Frieren and Fern can be obtained through limited-time summons. Frieren will be available from January 7 to February 4, and Fern from January 21 through the end of the event.

Players can also exchange 200 Special Pick-Up Tickets for collaboration-exclusive heroes or equipment. Additional rewards include a Limit Breaking Hammer, provided to all participants, which enhances weapons and increases their effectiveness. Completing event activities allows players to evolve Stark to five stars and fully limit-break the character, further strengthening their team.

To celebrate the collaboration, Kakao Games will host in-game events throughout January, including live events offering players opportunities to earn valuable items and progress in the game.
