XD Games has announced the launch of the sixth season for its popular action role-playing game, Torchlight: Infinite. Titled "Frozen Canvas," the new season introduces a range of artistic features aimed at enhancing gameplay during the colder months.
In "Frozen Canvas," players can expect a vibrant transformation of the game’s environment. The update includes the introduction of Selena, a dual-form bard character with the ability to switch between defensive and offensive strategies. Selena brings new dynamics to player strategies, allowing for versatile combat approaches.
A key addition in this season is a new gameplay mechanic centered around painting and canvases. Players will collect Snowpaper Fragments and magical paints within the Netherrealm to create custom maps. These paintings become interactive landscapes where players can engage in battles to earn exclusive rewards. The mechanic encourages creativity, as players can use color combinations to complete objectives, unlock new areas, and discover hidden treasures.
The update also features over 100 new support skill effects, providing greater customization options for character builds. Additionally, the crafting system has been revamped to emphasize non-legendary gear, offering more predictable and strategic outcomes. This change moves away from legendary gear crafting, focusing instead on deeper customization options for players.
XD Games highlighted that "Frozen Canvas" brings a blend of creativity and strategic depth to Torchlight: Infinite, aiming to enhance the overall gaming experience. The season includes significant balancing updates across various skills and mechanics, ensuring a refreshed and engaging environment for both new and returning players.
