Bolder Games has launched Virballs, a 3D action platformer, on Steam Early Access for Windows PC, inviting players to join a cosmic mission to clear planets overrun by elementally charged creatures.

Players step into the role of ORB, an Object Removal Bot equipped with rocket-propelled grappler claws, thrusters, and a containment sphere capable of harnessing virballs’ unique elemental abilities—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Electricity, and even Slime. These elements can be combined to create powerful new weapons, essential for overcoming challenges and enemies throughout the game’s levels.

The Early Access release introduces Jambito, a desert world teeming with rugged wildlife and ancient ruins. Bolder Games plans to add more content throughout the Early Access phase, including new planets, gameplay mechanics, and missions. The full 1.0 release in early 2025 will feature six unique worlds.

In addition to platforming and combat, players will take on boss battles to unlock new Cores, expanding ORB's arsenal with even more elemental weapon combinations. The game also features rescue missions to evacuate the Floobers, an innocent species endangered by the virball infestation.

Virballs is now available on Steam Early Access. Players can dive into the cosmic chaos today, with more updates and challenges arriving in the lead-up to the full launch.
