Explore a Hand-Animated World in ‘INAYAH: Life After Gods’ - New Trailers Released

ExoGenesis Studios, a team of industry veterans with experience at Blizzard, Disney, and Owlcat Games, announced its debut title Thursday: "INAYAH — Life After Gods," a visually stunning 2D action platformer set to release on PC in the first quarter of 2025 and on consoles later that year.

Set in the post-apocalyptic remnants of an advanced alien civilization, the game follows Inayah, an orphaned outcast on a perilous journey to find her tribe. Guided by the spirit of her deceased mentor, she navigates a divided world, forging bonds and uncovering secrets that redefine her understanding of family and destiny.

Players will explore a richly detailed, hand-drawn world using Inayah's magical multifunction Gauntlet, which can transform into weapons like Blades, Fists, and a Flail. Each form offers unique combat styles and abilities, enhancing both battles against formidable enemies and traversal through diverse environments. The game emphasizes character customization through RPG-style mechanics, allowing players to enhance abilities, weapons, and gear.

“After our exciting first-look showings at Gamescom 2024, we are very pleased to officially unveil 'INAYAH — Life After Gods' to a wider audience,” said Konstantin Okorochkov, CEO of ExoGenesis Studios. “Our team of veteran creators can't wait to show more of the game soon, from its gorgeous art to action-packed gameplay.”

Two new trailers have been released, highlighting the game's key features, combat mechanics, world exploration, and narrative depth. The first trailer showcases the hand-drawn graphics, deep character customization, and diverse combat options. The second delves deeper into Inayah's mastery of her weapons and how player choices significantly impact the story's progression and ultimate outcome.

"INAYAH — Life After Gods" offers players an expansive 2D world filled with various biomes and hidden secrets. The game features challenging encounters with unique bosses, each presenting distinct mechanics that test the player's skills. An original music score by composer Alex Kestner and voice acting by Jessica Carroll, known for her work in "Baldur’s Gate 3," contribute to the immersive experience.

The game is scheduled for release on PC in the first quarter of 2025, with versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox following in the second quarter. More information and the trailers can be found on the game's Steam page and YouTube channel.
