Solo Leveling: ARISE, Performance Review of Sung Jinwoo’s Wind-Attribute Weapon, Demon King’s Daggers

The newly released Demon King’s Daggers is a wind-attribute weapon for Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling: ARISE, designed for high-impact, burst damage. Though its base stats are lower than the West Wind weapon, the dagger compensates with a range of effects and advancements that can multiply its damage output significantly.

No team buffs - solely designed to enhance Sung Jinwoo’s personal damage output.

  • The Demon King’s Daggers does not offer any synergy-type buffs that increase the damage enemies take.
  • It comes with a passive ability that boosts the weapon’s skill damage in proportion to Sung Jinwoo's Strength stat. For every 10 points of Strength, the weapon's damage increases by 1%, up to a maximum of 50% (500 Strength).
  • Thus, it is structurally lacking in party synergy, and is not well-suited for Intelligence-based builds, which are essential for maximizing Sung Jinwoo’s support capabilities.
  • In conclusion, the Demon King’s Daggers is a specialized weapon tailored for content that requires Sung Jinwoo’s wind-attribute firepower.

Offers a Paralyze effect that assists safer damage dealing. However, this feature is not the weapon’s core strength.

  • The Demon King’s Daggers has a weapon skill called Crackling Thunder that paralyzes enemies for 2 seconds when hit.
  • However, it has a 25-second cooldown, and the 2-second paralysis effect may feel somewhat underwhelming given the long wait time.

Focus all of the advancement effects on enhancing its weapon skill, Crackling Thunder.

  • Upon reaching the first advancement, it allows more powerful version of the Crackling Thunder skill after its initial activation.
  • After using the Crackling Thunder skill, each attack by Sung Jinwoo accumulates Concentrated Lightning. Once 40 stacks are reached, the Lightning Rush is activated, boosting the damage of the next Crackling Thunder by 50%.
  • At the third advancement, the previous effect, which increased Crackling Thunder damage by 1% for every 10 points of Strength (up to 50%), is enhanced to 5% per 10 Strength points, with a maximum increase of 150%.
  • The number of stacks required to activate Lightning Rush decreases from 40 to 20. It can now be stacked twice, and the damage increase per activation rises to 150%.
  • At the fifth advancement, the Demon King’s Daggers gains additional enhancements to the Crackling Thunder skill, including an increase in wind-attribute damage, a larger effect area, an extended dash distance, and an overall boost to the skill’s damage output.

At lower advancements, the Demon King’s Daggers may be underwhelming. However, as the advancement stages progress and stack, the weapon becomes overwhelmingly powerful.

  • The Demon King’s Daggers has lower base stats, so if players already possess a well-advanced West Wind, the dagger might feel somewhat lacking in comparison when used at lower advancements.
  • However, as the Demon King’s Daggers advances, its buffs accumulate significantly, and the difference between it and SR or SSR becomes much more apparent.
  • Unlike the West Wind, which requires maintaining a distance of at least 5 meters from enemies for optimal use, the Demon King’s Daggers has no such restriction, making it more comfortable to use.
