Teamfight Tactics: Magic n' Mayhem Now Available

Riot Games has launched "Teamfight Tactics: Magic n’ Mayhem," the latest set for its popular strategy game Teamfight Tactics (TFT). The update, which is the 12th set for the game, is now live and available for players worldwide on both PC and mobile platforms.

The release of Magic n’ Mayhem introduces players to the Magitorium, a fantastical castle where mages, wizards, and other magic wielders compete to showcase their spellcraft abilities. This update also brings a new gameplay mechanic called Charms, featuring over 100 variations that provide combat power, economic advantages, disruptions, trait amplification, and more.

"Players will be able to master all forms of wizardry in Teamfight Tactics: Magic n’ Mayhem," said Sam Judd, Set Lead Designer for TFT at Riot Games. "We’ve been thrilled to see fans’ reactions to early set content on the Public Beta Environment (PBE), and we’re looking forward to welcoming all TFT players and the wider gaming community into the Magitorium."

Magic n’ Mayhem also includes 60 League of Legends champions, 27 traits, three new characters, and more than 140 Augments, including new High-Stakes Augments designed to enhance the game's high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Notably, Norra, the beloved Yordle from Riot’s strategy card game Legends of Runeterra, makes her TFT debut alongside her best friend Yuumi. Additionally, new League of Legends champions Briar and Smolder join the fray.

In collaboration with Riot’s mobile game League of Legends: Wild Rift, Magic n’ Mayhem introduces the Chrono trait skin line, previously known as Stargazer in Wild Rift.

The release of Magic n’ Mayhem also sets the stage for the 2nd annual TFT Macao Open, a global LAN event scheduled for later this year. Ranking in Magic n’ Mayhem will determine the sales order for competitor passes. The cutoff date for ranked snapshots is Monday, September 2 at 12:15 AM server time. Players need a valid Riot Games account to register and purchase passes. The ticket sale windows are as follows:

  • September 3: Runeterra Reforged - Inkborn Fables Tactician's Crown Participants
  • September 4: Challengers
  • September 5: Grandmasters + Masters
  • September 6: General Competitor Passes and Spectator Passes
