Flash Wolves made sure that Bjergsen doesn't get Ahri again by banning her.
On May 14th (PDT) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Flash Wolves defeated Team SoloMid in the tiebreaker in the last day of Mid-Season Invitational 2017 Group Stage. By defeating TSM, FW locked up the last spot for the knockout stage. After the match, Yitang "Maple" Huang was interviewed on stage with for his thoughts.
Maple didn't hesitate to show how glad he was to be in the knockout stage: "I'm definitely relieved. Even though we had our ups and downs, and we caused the tiebreaker to happen, I'm really glad that we made it to the semifinals."
Maple explained that Bjergsen was the main focus of the draft after FW's previous loss against TSM: "Bjergsen played really well with Ahri and caught us in the back during the last match. So we banned Ahri to make sure that he doesn't get it."
Finally, Maple ended the interview with an idea of how they'll prepare for the match against SKT: "SKT is definitely stronger in a Bo5. We are going to focus on expanding our champion pool, because you need to prepare a lot of champions when going in a Bo5 match."
