Team Liquid, a leading worldwide professional esports organization, today announced the debut of a new talk show, Two People Talking, in collaboration with longtime partner Alienware. Hosted by popular influencer and streamer Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, the five-episode series will feature interviews with high-profile guests from across the gaming and entertainment landscape. Two People Talking marks the latest example of Team Liquid’s continued expansion of content production aimed at reaching broader audiences.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Disguised Toast is one of the most recognizable gaming influencers on the internet, having amassed over 9M followers across his Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok channels. Specializing in games such as Hearthstone, Among Us, and Teamfight Tactics, Disguised Toast is currently a member of the Offline TV content creator collective known for producing fun, positive videos for its millions of subscribers.
“I didn’t think something like this was in the cards, but hey, Team Liquid and Alienware came to me with an offer, a set, and I thought, ‘Why not?’ I think the show came really out well — perfectly toasted, if you will — and I hope you guys like it,” said Disguised Toast.
Two People Talking takes its creative direction from Disguised Toast’s inimitable brand of dry, playful humor, infusing offbeat interview topics with disarming charisma. Episodes range from 20-30 minutes in length, organized into “Toast Pop” segments that last as long as it takes a slice of bread to toast. The series will be released on a bi-weekly basis through January 2023.
In the pilot episode with Offline TV creator Michael Reeves, Disguised Toast effortlessly pairs sincere questions about Reeves’ career with off-kilter comedic bits and an impromptu Super Smash Bros. Ultimate session with Team Liquid star Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma. Upcoming episodes will showcase streamers Tricia “triciaisabirdy” Wang and Sydney “Sydeon” Parker.
Alongside Two People Talking, Team Liquid and Alienware will seek to produce more content aimed at audiences beyond esports. This content expansion is a key element of Team Liquid’s long term plan to earn fan heartshare outside of competitive wins and losses, creating multi-generational bonds that will help carry the organization forward.
“We want to reach our fans where they are, with content we know appeals to them,” said Josie Brown, SVP of Team Liquid Brand, Marketing and Content. “Shows like Two People Talking create more exciting opportunities for Team Liquid to show what we believe in through the content we produce and who we produce it with.”
For the latest information on Two People Talking, follow Team Liquid on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. The pilot episode will premiere on Monday, November 28 on Team Liquid’s YouTube channel.
