On May 10th (PDT) in Rio de Janerio, Brazil; Mid-Season Invitational 2017 conitnued with the grudge match between Team SoloMid and Gigabyte Marine. Thanks to GAM Optimus's clutch Ahri plays, GAM defeated TSM and succeeded to get payback against TSM for their loss in the Play-in Stage.

GAM shed the first blood on the top lane. Although TSM tried to score a kill in the top lane, Stark parried TSM's continuous attack very well and scored a kill against Hauntzer while staying alive.

Stark continued to parry TSM's attack very well, making TSM's second attack on top lane with Svenskeren and Hauntzer an equal exchange of Graves and Gragas. By sending the bot lane duo to the top lane, GAM pushed the top lane until they destroyed the inner top turret.

GAM was relentless. After winning the teamfight in the center, GAM was free to take the outer middle turret. GAM pressed the attack into the inner middle turret, and although GAM scored two kills with Optimus's well-timed attack, WildTurtle's ultimate ended the teamfight with 2 losses for both teams.

After a standoff, Optimus saw another opportunity to catch TSM off guard, scoring a kill against Svenskeren and WildTurtle with no losses. GAM was also free to take the Baron with TSM's jungler being down.

With the Baron buff, GAM destroyed all three inhibitor turrets in TSM's base, but they were caught off guard while trying to return to their own base.

In the end though, it was Optimus's Ahri that ended the game as he caught a champion from TSM that led to GAM's victory in the teamfight and ended the game.
