SSG wins in 3-0 sweep to ensure only H2-Korean teams remain

Series Overview

Samsung Galaxy advances to the grand finals by defeating H2K 3-0 in the semifinal match of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. Although SSG seemed rattled in Game 1 by Jankos’ ganks and unfavorable teamfights in midgame, they bode their time until CuVee turned the tables by splitpushing with Ekko to outmuscle H2K in map movement. The following games displayed similar patterns, in which H2K took early game leads with efficient ganks only to fall apart midgame due to fatal macro decisions. Making very few critical mistakes, SSG closed the series in a 3-0 sweep.

MVP

CuVee played a pivotal role in setting the tone for the series. He knew it would be difficult for SSG in the early game, and kept his cool even when other lanes struggled. Again and again, CuVee would patiently wait for the game to reach the tipping point, then strike his deadly blow when it would hurt H2K the most. Having already gone above and beyond everything that had ever been expected of him, CuVee looks more than ready to do the impossible and lead his team to the Summoner's Cup.
