The public trials and tribulations of Na’Vi’s former in-game leader Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov continued this week, with the Russian Counter-Strike pro posting a picture of a clean drugs test to his Twitter account. The post follows a turbulent period for the Stockholm Major winner, who saw his divorce from Angelika “LiQueen” Mikhailova finalized last week.

The two wed at the end of last year after Boombl4’s romantic on-stage proposal, made in the wake of the Stockholm Major win, which was his and his team’s first ever title at that level. Sadly though, the relationship seems like it went downhill fast, and the collapse of the relationship and subsequent divorce has led to some unfortunate fallout for Boombl4, including allegations of drug use being made by his ex-wife.

The test is no doubt a result of that, and while it may not convince all his doubters of his innocence, it is an intelligent move to make public the fact he is not using illegal substances. This will not only help his case regarding his divorce, but also make him a more attractive potential future signing for any team looking to give Boombl4 a route back into CSGO.

Drug allegations and revenge porn

The problems for Boombl4 are not your typical divorce issues, with his former partner having gone out of her way over the past week or so to destroy his name, if rumors are to be believed. LiQueen, his now ex-wife, was apparently someone his former teammates tried to warn him about before the wedding, as Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev said last week, and it seems some of their concerns were justified.

LiQueen has been posting about Boombl4 on her social media in Russian, to her Telegram followers in particular, making allegations of drug use, and even sharing what appear to be intimate images sent to her by Boombl4, or what is known as ‘revenge porn’. This is the act of sharing sexually explicit images without the consent of the sender, although in Russia this is not considered a crime.

Boombl4 has already stated his intent to take legal action against his ex-wife for defamation, which can be tried as a felony in Russia, and carries with it a potential two-year custodial sentence or a fine of up to 1m rubles. If Boombl4 can rehabilitate his image, he may even be able to return to Na’Vi, who let him leave due to ‘high reputational risks’.
