A recent video has revealed ongoing toxic behavior from Thomas "Scrappy" Ernst, a pro Call of Duty player for Toronto Ultra Academy, the tier 2 team for Call of Duty League's Toronto Ultra.
In the tweet, a video shows Scrappy yelling at teammates, throwing around insults, and behaving unprofessionally in multiple instances.
"You are sh*t, especially you," Scrappy yelled at one point. "God damn, son. Why the f**k are you here? Damn, bro."
"You're dogsh*t! F**king choke!" he yelled after a loss in another moment caught on film. "What are you doing? You bum! I can't f**k with you!" Scrappy screamed later on in the compilation. "You're braindead. No bullsh*t."
Throughout the games, other players react in different ways to Scrappy's outbursts. Some players taunt him back, clearly frustrated with his behavior and comments. Others laugh it off, however, leading to a bit of controversy among the Call of Duty community.
While many people called Scrappy immature and inappropriate, others noted that this is just regular sh*ttalking for gamers.
It was pointed out, however, that online lobbies are not the same as professional tournaments and practice scenarios. Competing for the Call of Duty League and the Academy is a job. While some still feel that Scrappy's outbursts are just hilarious and part of gaming culture, others are concerned at the lack of respect he's shown for the coaches and other players.
Toronto Ultra Academy have yet to make any comments.
