It's a proud moment when a League of Legends player reaches a big milestone. Rasmus "caPs" Winther didn't stop at just one. While competing in his 2022 LEC Spring Split Playoffs series against Misfits, Game 3 saw the G2 Esports veteran pass two major benchmarks. The mid laner became the third player to reach 1,500 kills in Europe's top competition, and the fifth player to pass 2,000 assists. The European champion had a strong performance in the lower bracket series — racking up thirteen kills and twenty-three assists, and helping his team sweep Misfits.
Players before caPs to reach the kill milestone are AD carry Martin "Rekkles" Larsson and Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski, while previous players to pass 2,000 assists include Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov. His teammate Jankos passed 1,500 kills in G2's previous playoff series against Team Vitality. Compared with Rekkles and Jankos, the twenty-two year old star has competed in the LEC for a far shorter period of time — competing in League since 2015.
caPs originally played with lower-league teams such as Enigma Esports and mousesports, before competing in Turkey with Dark Passage. It was after that stint that he found his big break with Fnatic in late-2016. While with Fnatic he won his first domestic title in 2018, and helped his team on a run to the finals of the 2018 World Championship.
Moving over to G2 in 2019, caPs helped the roster become one of the most successful in the game's history — winning multiple domestic championships as well as the region's first win at the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational. Individual honors of his include one EU LCS MVP awards, two LEC MVP awards, and being declared the 2019 MSI MVP. He is considered one of the greatest League players in history.
