At the 2022 Game Developers Conference (GDC 2022), WeMade technical director Jung Woo-june explained the concept and application of GameFi with Mir4 as an example. Jung explained that GameFi is a concept that combined games and finance, and that it’s an economic system that’s designed to prevent the danger of fraud coins, loss of value due to a game shutting down, and to overcome the threshold of a limited domain.

Moving forward, Jung introduced the chained ecosystem based on the WeMix platform designed to create Mir4’s economic system. The GameFi products Jung explained in this system were character NFTs, a coin exchange solution EXD, and a staking program DSP. He emphasized the WeMix platform’s advantages over individual blockchain game economics and spoke about the strategies and WeMade’s ideal form of GameFi.

Jung also talked about the WeMix platform’s swap system that helps trade two different types of coins that were originally untradable, the calculation method within the algorithm, and the Kleva protocol which is a DeFi service.
