Wemade announced a strategic investment in Klaytn-based stablecoin project, KROME.

Within the Klaytn ecosystem, stablecoins are currently limited to collateralized and algorithmic stablecoins.

Collateralized stablecoins function by issuing an equal amount of stablecoins as the deposited collateral value, while algorithmic stablecoins maintain a steady value by constantly adjusting the supply based on demand.

KROME's stablecoin, USDK, packages the security and efficiency from collateralized and algorithmic stablecoins into a hybrid model, which adjusts the collateral ratio based on market demand.

In addition, KROME will actively seek partnerships with multiple Klaytn-based DeFi projects to broaden the adoption and use case for USDK.
