YouTube streamer DrLupo hosted his fourth annual Build Against Cancer live stream this past week, fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. During the live stream, he raised over $892,000 dollars, raising his lifetime total fundraising for St. Jude to over $10 million USD, a huge accomplishment for the philanthropist and influencer.

St. Jude and DrLupo celebrated the incredible fundraising achievement with an 8-minute congratulatory montage featuring numerous influencers and streamers. Influencers like Stone Mountain, CouRage, DrDisrespect, and others also replied with congratulatory messages in the comments under his announcement.

“We are celebrating with DrLupo, his family and the community they have rallied around St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to surpass a $10 million fundraising milestone,” said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of St. Jude fundraising org ALSAC, in a statement to Inven Global. “The dedication DrLupo and MrsDrLupo have to our lifesaving mission is evident through the many ways they share their own St. Jude experiences, including visits to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, playing games with patients and families, and involving their son Charlie in creative activities to engage and inspire new audiences."

He continued, "Their influence in the gaming community has been instrumental in helping us fuel the six-year, $11.5 billion St. Jude strategic plan that triples its global investment to impact more of the 400,000 kids around the world who get cancer each year.”

During this year's live stream, DrLupo featured various creators like Zayde Wolf and BigCheeseKIT, as well as St. Jude physician assistant and former St. Jude patient Hayley Arceneaux, who was part of the first all-civilian mission to orbit the earth to benefit St. Jude last year. DrLupo and his family attended that launch last Sept. in Florida.

Build Against Cancer is supported by DrLupo's management company Loaded, along with other organizations like American Airlines, Secret Lab, Logitech, NZXT, Verizon, Samsung, Kings Coast Coffee, 2k, and Gillette. The stream was facilitated by the fundraising platform Tiltify, which has been used by numerous live streamers this year during their charity drives.
