Serbian Twitch streamer Kristina “K1KA” Đukić has passed away just 21-year-old, her family confirmed Thursday.
"With great sorrow unfortunately we need to announce that our dear friend and angel passed away this evening 8/12/2021. We would like to extended our condolences to her friends, family and fans. This will be a hard time for us all and all we can do is keep her memory alive," a story on K1KA's Instagram reads.
While not confirming the reason for K1KA's passing, the announcement urged readers to seek help if they are having suicidal thoughts or suffering from depression.
CS:GO caster and analyst and K1KA's compatriot Janko "YNk_" Paunovic offered his condolences, condemning online hate.
"You think it's just words on a keyboard but there's another human being on the other side reading all that hate and it affects even those with the thickest of skins let alone young adults."
