UPDATE Dec. 10: Fnatic have confirmed the signings of former G2 Esports top laner Wunder and former Misfits jungler Razork following reports. Mid laner Nisqy will be moving to a substitute role due to Fnatic's acquisition of MAD Lions mid laner Humanoid, who will join the team on January 1, 2022.
Original story:
It has been less than 24 hours since the opening of the LoL Esports free agency window and the LEC is reportedly in a flurry. A recent report by Dot Esports state that Misfits jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz will be signing a three-year deal with Fnatic. In addition, Fnatic is reportedly acquiring Martin "Wunder" Hansen from G2 Esports to be their starting top laner for the 2022 LEC Season.
The reports about Razork and Wunder fall in line with other reports regarding Fnatic's offseason. Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau is looking headed back to the top lane after jungling this past summer and is reportedly signing with Team Liquid. Top laner Adam "Adam" Manaane is reportedly signing with Team BDS, and according to a report by Upcomer, Karmine Corp top laner Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet was approached by Fnatic with an offer, but declined.
Fnatic is also reportedly in the process of signing MAD Lions mid laner Marek "Humanoid" Brázda, which lines up with Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer's claims that he will be without a team for the 2022 LEC season. Cloud9 was in talks to acquire Nisqy from Fnatic, but negotiations fell through.
AD carry Elias "Upset" Lipp's contract with Fnatic does not expire until November 20, 2023, but since the marksman has not played with the team since the 2021 LEC Summer Playoffs, it's unclear if he will retain to competitive play in 2022 since the organization has not provided any updates on his situation since announcing his absence from the 2021 World Championship. Support Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov had his contract extended to match Upset's earlier this year.
Team BDS have not made any official announcements, but aside from reportedly signing Adam, they have reportedly retained FC Schalke 04 Esports mid laner Ilias "NUCLEARINT" Bizriken in addition to the acquisitions of G2 Esports head coach Fabian "Grabbz" Lohmann and two players from Karmine Corp in AD carry Matthew Charles "xMatty" Coombs and jungler Jakub "Cinkrof" Rokicki.
KC confirmed in a tweet that xMatty and Cinkrof were leaving the LFL squad alongside support Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé. Targamas is reportedly signing with G2 Esports for the 2022 LEC season.
