Original story:
A report by Dot Esports' Pablo "Bloop" Suárez claims that Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság has reached a verbal agreement with Team Vitality to sign a three-year contract. The MAD Lions AD carry is the third reported interest of VIT following reports of the organization laying the foundation to sign Team Liquid top laner Barney "Alphari" Morris and Cloud9 mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković.
Carzzy is coming off of the best season of his career, punctuated by back-to-back LEC titles and a top 8 finish at the 2021 League of Legends World Championship.
The future of Carzzy has been a hot topic even before Worlds 2021 when reports surfaced that G2 Esports, who missed Worlds for the first time in the organization's history this season, was interested in signing the MAD marksman.
Since being eliminated from Worlds 2021 in a quarterfinals sweep at the hands of DWG KIA, MAD Lions have extended the contracts of all four members of their coaching staff, three of them through 2023. Before Worlds 2021, MAD support Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser had his contract extended through November 20, 2023 like the contracts of top laner İrfan Berk "Armut" Tükek and jungler Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla.
Reports point towards Team Vitality being one of the busiest teams of the off-season. In addition to the reported interest in Carzzy, Perkz, and Alphari, VIT has reportedly chosen to keep support Labros "Labrov" Papoutsakis for the remainder of his contract, which expires November 21, 2022. Whether the team will re-sign or extend the contract of jungler Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek, who was acquired from Fnatic before the start of the 2021 LEC Summer Split, is reportedly extending his contract.
Team Vitality finished in last place with a record of 5-13 in the 2021 LEC Spring Split, but after the acquisition of Selfmade, finished sixth in the Summer Split and qualified for the post-season for the first time in two years.
