After months of learning the ins and outs of Teamfight Tactics' Set 5, weeks of preparation for the Reckoning World Championship, and days of narrowing down the field of competitors in the event, China's Huanmie stood atop the rest.
After the field of high-caliber players was slimmed down to eight for the final day of play on Monday, six different regions from around the world were represented in an event that took five games to determine a winner.
Piloting a Legionnaire composition that utilized the likes of Nidalee, Riven, and Draven, Huanmie was left rocking in his chair and staring at the monitor in front of him as he watched his squad rip apart DVI Shircane's in the final battle to become World Champion.
For finishing first in the event, not only does Huanmie own the bragging rights of Set 6, but a cash prize of $44,500 USD is his as well.
Heading into Game 5, it was North America's DeliciousMilkGG who was in first place and had the chance to close out the event with a victory. Unfortunately for him, finishing sixth in the game wasn't good enough and dropped him to third in the overall standings.
With the Teamfight Tactics: Reckoning World Championship behind us, players can set their sights on Set 6 which is titled "Gizmos and Gadgets" and is scheduled to go live on November 3 as part of Patch 11.22.
