Team Envy defeated 100 Thieves and Gambit defeated G2 esports on Saturday to determine the Grand Final match of the VCT Masters Berlin Major on Saturday. Both teams defeated their respective competition 2-0 fashion, showing definitively that they belong in the championship match.
Team Envy's victory comes a day after they eliminated the favorites to win VCT Berlin, the Sentinels, in a convincing 2-0 fashion. After their victory over fellow NA team 100 Thieves on Saturday, Envy Tweeted "The new kings of NA." Team Envy also qualified to Champions with the victory.
Gambit Esports, who already qualified for Champions, also put on a great performance on Saturday, including taking Icebox off G2 in a historic 13-0 map sweep. Their defensive setups have been of particular note in recent months, but they have also shown incredible consistency on attack throughout Berlin as well.
Saturday's matches set up a NA versus EMEA final on Sunday, with team Envy representing NA's explosiveness and aggression, while Gambit will likely play the slow methodical method that has taken them this far. That is set to be a huge clash of both region and style, and any VALORANT fan won't want to miss it.
The Grand Finals will take place on Sunday starting at 9 AM PST.
