The final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter could be announced any day now.
Rumors have been floating around that a Nintendo Direct is coming in September — but insider SamusHunter is now predicting it will be late September or in October due to some upcoming Japanese holidays next week and the Christmas season approaching.
But leakers have now set their sights on WHAT will be included in the highly anticipated Nintendo Direct.
What is Nintendo discussing in the upcoming Nintendo Direct?
Metroid Dread, Splatoon 3, Mario Party, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are games that fans expect to hear more about during the Nintendo Direct. There will also be Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC and Animal Crossing content.
But the most anticipated portion is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The community believes that the final DLC fighter will be announced during the Nintendo Direct.
Smash creator Sakurai has previously stated that the final fighter will be released by the end of 2021. Usually, the DLC fighter is announced during a Nintendo Direct, followed by a presentation all about their moveset and playstyle, and then the character is finally dropped. This process needs to start pretty soon to ensure it all fits before the holidays, making the October speculation not too surprising.
