YouTuber Carson "CallMeCarson" King ended his nearly 7-month hiatus from video creation on Wednesday, after disappearing from the public eye in January after he was accused of grooming and exchanging nudes with a 17-year-old girl in 2020, while he was 19.
In his first video back, titled "Moving Forward," the YouTuber did not deny the claims that he inappropriately messaged and groomed at least one underage girl, but he nonetheless announced his return to streaming on September 1st.
"I am not seeking forgiveness nor am I looking to make excuses," CallMeCarson said. "I am sure some of you are expecting a long drawn-out video explaining my "truth" of the situation, but I have no intention of doing that. I would much rather tell you what I can do in the future."
CallMeCarson went on to announce that he will be giving "100% of [his] profits" to charity for the next year, giving money to a new charity every month. His first month of charitable donations is set to go to Games for Love, a 501(c)(3) charity that describes itself as "dedicated to easing suffering, saving lives, and creating sustainable futures for children."
"Before you start thinking of this as an excuse to sweep things under the rug, that is not what this is," the Youtuber claimed. "I am doing this because I want to turn a negative situation with a lot of eyes on it into something positive that can help a lot of people."
CallMeCarson came under fire in January of 2021, after multiple members of his YouTube group "Lunch Club" came forward with allegations that Carson engaged in illegal activity with minors. According to multiple sources within Lunch Club, Carson admitted to exchanging nudes with a 17 year-old girl when Carson was 19.
