Asmongold continues successful Final Fantasy XIV Online streams despite backlash from community

Asmongold is best known for his World of Warcraft escapades but the streamer has recently been trying out new MMOs. This time Asmongold is digging deep into Final Fantasy XIV despite a public outcry from the game's community.

Asmongold started streaming Final Fantasy at the beginning of July, skyrocketing the game's popularity. But the Final Fantasy community has expressed concern with the sudden increase in players and viewers, with some outspoken members explaining that they don't want Asmongold's "toxic" viewers to infiltrate the previously small Final Fantasy community.

Despite Asmongold's initial Final Fantasy XIV stream being "one of the best" he's had, a small Final Fantasy streamer stated at the time that Asmongold's "hatred and rudeness" is not welcomed. A plan was put in place to "run" Asmongold and his fans out of the community.

But so far it hasn't worked.

Asmongold recently did a run-through of The Final Coil of Bahamut after reaching level 50. The dungeon had a boss, Kalyia, that his party was seeming to breeze through. Asmongold and his party got it down to 0.1% when things took a turn for the worse.

Despite the extremely low health, Kalyia survived.

"Are you fucking kidding me!?" Asmongold exclaimed on stream.

While his party eventually finished the dungeon, it made for quite the entertaining stream. This only further solidified Asmongold's success in Final Fantasy, both in-game and on Twitch.

Asmongold has a lot more of Final Fantasy to explore so the community shouldn't expect him to be leaving anytime soon. The World of Warcraft community has also expressed concern that Asmongold won't be returning to the game that initially made him famous on Twitch — and it seems Asmongold himself isn't too worried about returning at the moment.
