Meet Afreeca Freecs’ prominent mid laner Seohaeng ‘KurO’ Lee!

It was easy to see how ‘KurO’ was loved by many people at the stadium- the place was bursting with people and the sound of their cheering, and the many carefully made cheer placards filled the front of AFs booth.

We had time to ask him about several things, starting from Ahri picks to his plans for future. Come meet him in this interview video!

Q. You seem to handle Taliyah smoothly. Any tips on using Seismic Shove(W)?

Wait for a moment before using it in order to hit your enemy successfully. Try predicting where your enemy will be, and then use it when your CC hits them to knock them up. That should work.

Q. In your last match in LCK (3/25), MVP’s Ian picked Pantheon as his mid champion.  I remember you playing mid with Pantheon last year. What is your opinion on the current mid Pantheon?

Ian played Pantheon to counter Talon, though I’m not so sure about that… Well, he is free to pick Pantheon, although I’m not so sure that he’s the greatest choice yet.

Q. There’s been a lot of talk about Ahri picks. What is your take on Ahri?

I agree with what Fly said about Ahri. I don’t think Ahri is that great of a choice, just an acceptable champ to use.

Q. Your team atmosphere seemed casual off the record. What is the actual team atmosphere like?

Well, first I think our team atmosphere is great. Not so bad, but not so great at the same time? Something like that (Laughs)

Q. What were your feelings on playing against old players of ROX, ‘PraY’ and ‘GorillA’?

They sure are great players… And I was sorry to play against my old teammates in such an important decider match… Although being a winner feels good, so, yeah…

Q. I’ve heard that you were seen with old ROX players. Do you guys keep in touch?

Of course. We have our private chat rooms on messenger, and we keep in touch everyday.

Q. There seems to be many people who care for you, KurO. These nifty cheer placards made by your fans are real eye-catchers.

I really appreciate them for rooting for me, and I wish there was something I could do in return for their support… So, I thought that the best thing I can do for my fans in return is to focus and show amazing performances in the games, that’s why I try my best. I am really thankful because I know it’s really hard to make all these cheer placards each time. But my fans always make them for me every time, so I really appreciate their support and love.

Q: What do you think is the reason you have so many great fans?

Uh…. Because we made it to the League of Legends World Championship twice, and I ended up with a great score in a great team? (Laughs)

Q: Do you have any plans for future?

Well, I thought it would be nice if we could get a definitively better score than the last team did, which could be hard, or it could actually come true. We don’t know for sure, so that’s why we just have to try really hard… We promise to do our best to make it to the playoffs and the finals.

Q. Anything you’d like to say to your fans?

Thank you so much for rooting for us… To be honest, I think all professional games function only because there are fans out there, same for any sports, whether it’s soccer or baseball or games… So, I’d really like to thank our fans.
