Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 is coming this week on Thursday. The new Cold War-themed season promises a new 1980's themed map for Warzone, a ton of weapon balance changes, new guns and much more! One of the coolest new additions this season is the ability to play ten classic Activision arcade games from the 1980's using the new Arcade machine in the Barracks.
The arcade machine allows players to enjoy the following classic titles:
- Barnstorming
- Boxing
- Chopper Command
- Enduro
- Fishing Derby
- Grand Prix
- Kaboom!
- Pitfall!
- Pitfall II
- River Raid
So whether you are waiting on a friend in the menus, or are just looking to unwind after being eliminated from the Warzone for the umpteenth time, you can relax and play some retro games right from within Warzone.
This is not the first time Activision has done a crossover between its retro titles and Call of Duty titles. Activision also included some of these same Atari 2600 games in an Arcade that could be found in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in 2016, and they also hid a number of Arcade machines throughout the Black Ops Coldwar campaign in 2020.
Activision first started producing games for the Atari 2600 back in 1980. In their first year of publishing, the company released Boxing, Dragster, and Fishing derby among others. All of the games included in the Warzone arcade machine are from the 1980's, so they match the 1980's theme of Warzone Season 3.
