In the second playoffs match of the 2021 LCK Spring Split, T1 took down DRX 3-1. T1's macro focused on the bot lane for the win. Although Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon had a great performance for DRX, he wasn't able to stop T1's snowball coming up from the bot side.
The first game was in T1's favor. Up to the mid-game, DRX went ahead with a poking composition in Ezreal-Zoe-Jayce. However, in the late game teamfights, DRX showed a lack of concentration. As Kim "Canna" Chang-dong's Gnar opened a great fight, T1 took the first game.
In the second game, DRX went ahead in the late game teamfights. Up to the 30-minute mark, the two teams' kill score was tied at 10:10, but DRX started winning the teamfights around the objectives afterward. By taking the game, DRX tied the game.
Game 3 was different from the previous games where Gnar was the main champion. T1 started snowballing from early in the game and as Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok's Twisted Fate started to roam, the snowball got bigger. DRX attempted to strike back, but Park "Teddy" Jin-seong's Ezreal didn't allow any turnarounds.
The last game was similar. T1 collected win after win in skirmishes. When T1 took over DRX attempting the Rift Herald, DRX fell behind massively. From that point, T1's bot lane finished the laning phase, and this accelerated T1's macro. T1 also collected the dragons quickly and secured the soul in 22 minutes. As Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan's Hecarim swept the last teamfight, T1 secured the ticket to the next round of the playoffs.
