Four players on CBLOL team Vorax test positive for COVID-19

Four members of CBLOL's Vorax team have been tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to reschedule their next two matches, the team and Riot Games confirmed Tuesday.

"Тhis week, four members of our main League of Legends sports team were diagnosed with COVID-19, and even though it is not a live tournament, we chose to preserve them from any previously agreed professional and competitive commitments," Vorax wrote.

VORAX's upcoming matches against Rensga and LOUD have been therefore pushed back a few days, from Feb. 20-21 to Feb. 25.

This is the second time a COVID-19 epidemic has hurt the Brazilian organization. In December 202Leonardo “fzkk” Puertas and Hiago “delevingne” Baldi tested positive for the virus on VORAX's VALORANT team also tested positive for the virus in the middle of First Strike Brazil — VALORANT's premier tournament for that period. With First Strike happening offline, VORAX had to be disqualified in order to observe the safety of other competitors.

With six cases in three months, COVID has done some serious damage to VORAX already. While CBLOL is taking place entirely online and the competitive consequences to VORAX are lighter than outright disqualification, the org is now in a position where it needs to take more strict measures or risk something more serious than their tournament results.
