Empires of the Ascended is the third expansion set for Legends of Runeterra, releasing Mar. 3. With 110 new cards, the expansion will visit Shurima, the new region of the game, known for its desert landscapes and Egyptian thematic, and home to iconic League of Legends champions like Azir, Nasus, and Renekton.

What is Predict in Legends of Runeterra (new keyword)

Predict in Legends of Runeterra is a new keyword from Empires of the Ascended expansion. It allows the player to select one of three cards from their deck and put them on top of their deck. Players coming from Magic: The Gathering will find similarities with the Scry mechanic. 

What is Countdown in Legends of Runeterra (new keyword)

Countdown is a new keyword in Legends of Runeterra, introduced in Empires of the Ascended. Each card with Countdown has a countdown number. At round start, the number decreases by 1, and when the count reaches 0, the Countdown effect triggers. Other cards can also advance the Countdown speed.

What is Slay in Legends of Runeterra (new keyword)

Slay is a keyword in Legends of Runeterra which triggers when you kill an ally or an enemy by doing damage, striking it, or killing it with a removal card/effect. Slay does not trigger on Ephemeral.
