League of Legends streamer Joedat "Voyboy" Esfahani has teamed up with FlyQuest as its new official partner and influencer in an effort to boost FlyQuest's #BeeQuest effort to save the bees. Since his retirement from professional League of Legends at the end of the 2014 season, Voyboy has maintained a presence as a community fixture and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for various charity efforts. It's hard to deny the boy genius is a perfect fit for the #FlyFam.
FlyQuest's environmentally conscious organizational rebrand for the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series season has seen the organization save trees, marine life, and now bees via set in-game events that trigger donations throughout the 2021 LCS season.
As of January 22nd, FlyQuest will donate money to The Bee Conservancy for every FlyQuest win in the 2021 LCS season. Donations will also be triggered by every kill and every Ocean Drake secured by either team in a FlyQuest match.
“Throughout my career, I’ve always tried my best to make a positive impact and stand up (or sit down) for the causes I believe in,” said Voyboy. “FlyQuest resonates with me because they’re a team that truly strives to make the world a better place.” The Boy Genius will stream under the FlyQuest banner this year at twitch.tv/voyboy, with plenty of exciting activities planned during the 2021 LCS season.
“I met Joey in 2012 at IPL4, and having worked with him previously, I really wanted to work with him again at FlyQuest,” said FlyQuest CEO Tricia Sugita. “Joey embodies so many of our values like gratitude, positivity, thoughtfulness, and generosity of spirit. Joey’s a natural fit for FlyQuest, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to showcase greatness together.”
